We had a big swarm leave the hive a couple of days ago, went over to have a look at whether we could catch it today, and lo and behold, it went for a bit of a fly round and then went straight back into the hive again! Anyone know what the girls are up to?
Out of necessity we are low interveintion beekeepers (they hospitalised me last time I got stung, so we don't go through the hive unless we really need to- limits the liklihood of another trip to A&E), so I have no idea what the queen cell situation is, but usually this is a happy hive with no problems.
