I'm prepping for the time after my knee replacement surgery next week when Himself will need to put food on the table for the two of us. Were it winter I would make soups and stews. But it is summer. So today I was preparing burritos for the freezer.

I had previously made pork and venison chili. Today I made refried beans. Some canned diced tomatoes. Shredded cheese. Soft flour tortillas.

Layer up, fold tightly

wrap, package, and freeze.

So now there are 12 small burritos / 6 servings, ready for post surgery meals.

Useful to have stuff in reserve. When I do some things that need long cooking I make more than we need and freeze portions for another meal.
