It has been 6 weeks since I racked my Elderberry wine after it finished fermenting, and I was planning on getting round to a second racking soon, to see if it has cleared.

How long do you tend to wait between rackings?

Usually about 6 weeks if it needs racking a second time; it's brought into the kitchen and left overnight to re-settle after moving.

When it's done and ready, I give it a good few months after the finla racking to allow any extra sediment to drop out. If I've got the space I leave it for longer.
