I have been given a box of incandescent light bulbs... No use to me, that I can think of.

How many?

If you can get them to Bristol, this project might like them

She's a 220v DC ship so modern bulbs (or for that matter switches) don't work

None of which are projects that I am likely to be taking up.

I once steered the Waverley around Arran.

It is sad that Waverley is the only paddle steamer like that left. I remember often travelling to the Isle of Wight on paddle steamers in the summer. They were not the main steamers, but brought out of semi-retirement for the summer rush. Dad used to take me to see the pistons that were on show behind a window, and if you sat in the right place you got the spray from the paddles.

Not sure if it was them or the ones that replaced them, but remember at least one was a 'Dunkirk Little Ship' and had a plaque on board.
