Does anyone know where there's a *simple* guide to this, either on the interweb or something I could get from the library?

The tax office are actually pretty helpful.

Is it a general thing your after, or do you have specific questions? It's the most unpleasant tax we have, imo. Taxed all your life on what you eanr, then a further proportion taken because you were able to save and pass it along.

Found this. https://www.channel4.com/4money/taxpensions/guides/inheritance_tax_guide_101003_page2.html

Oy! I'm NL, he's NH.

PS: Silas, just a reminder, you don't get anything if it's premeditated.

But the one who's about to post up "my wife keeps insisting on taking her laptop in to the bath, isn't that a bit dangerous, I'm a complete electrical innocent you see, me" in IT Matters is Sean, not Silas. It's always the quiet ones, you know.

Not if it's a cast iron bath - mach safer to use a plastic one - less chance of colateral damage.
