Anybody here have any idea on the lifecycle analysis for glass and ceramics?

Just wondering which has a lower impact.

My understanding is that at the moment most recycled glass is used as aggregate rather than recycled into further glass products which seems to negate the biggest benefit of glass vs ceramics.

Thus I guess the question is in terms of production which would have a lower impact?

I thought the glass was used to make insulation?
