In the latest copy of Country Smallholding (Dec 2004) there is an article about the possibility of selling fresh water fish, tench in this case. The main market seems to be to fishing clubs to stock their lakes and ponds.
Has anyone tried this? There seems to be quite a few regs to sort out but it does seem like another useful idea to add to the list. One surprising fact is that you need planning permission for a pond if it's main purpose is not to water livestock.
There are so many regs about the movment and keeping of stock fish in this country that people are buying fish from warmer climates where the fish grow much quicker therefore are sold cheaper
