Has anybody got any tried and tested ways of peeling pickling onions without tears? I have just got some christmas orders in and am sat looking at a sack of pickling onions.any thoughts please?
Thanks

i don't usually have a problem with the peeling its chopping where I loose the mascara! I gather that the most concentrated bit of eye-watering chemical ( can't remember which one it is - someone will) is the root end so you are suppose to cut that bit last if you can - I always forget though!
