Ingredients


  • 110g/4oz pistachios

  • 110g/4oz butter

  • 110g/4oz SR Flour

  • 110g/4oz Granulated Sugar



Recipe


  1. Preheat the oven to 180C

  2. beat together the butter, flour and sugar

  3. Put the pistchios in a bag or pestle and mortar and crush till in largish pieces

  4. Mix the pieces of nuts into the biscuit mixture

  5. Pick of bits of the mixture about walnut sized and squash on to a lined baking sheet

  6. Bake untill golden for about 15minutes



Comments

I have also done this recipe with a bit of cocoa powder and some hazelnuts to great effect

I am craving pecan nut biscuits. It has been an age since I made this recipe

Can anyone think why it wouldn't work with pecan nuts and light muscovado sugar?

i would think it would be fine with pecan.

now i want pistachio biscuits

The pistachio biscuits are very tasty and very easy to make, you do need shelled pistachios though

that extra crunch would be "interesting"

possibly detrimental to dental health though
