The big problem with a site running a successful forum, is remembering that the idea behind the site was not the forum but the site itself.

As part of our site statistics package we can see what proportion of visits are are to the main site and what proportion to the forum.

Consistantly through November, December and January, we have seen:

75% forums
25% main site

Thus the main site is growing in tandem with the forums

Bearing in mind the time people spend on forums, this is a very good proportion.
