I was pottering about this afternoon in the garden planting out some peas and lettuces (under cloches) and just got the urge to sow a few more bits..so in went some carrots and radishes I have prewarmed the soil for a few weeks so hopefully they'll do ok..I can never wait 'til march, does anyone else have this 'problem' too or am I the only madwoman here
My toms and peppers are thriving on the windowsills too

I think everyone here has that problem. My chillis and toms and some take-a-chance french beans are in the propagator, and carrots are in the mini-greenhouse, There would have been lettuces too, but I ran out of compost planting the redcurrant bush. Don't like radhishes. Is it too early for spinach (with a bit of fleece)?

Im simply itching to get started!! Had a lapse last week and shoved a few chilli seeds in a large pot. One is an inch tall but its the only one that has germinated so far. Ive now got two days off work and i have a feeling that theres going to be a big plant fest in the Grant house within the next 48 hours.

How's everyone's sowing going?

We've put in our first toms and chillis last weekend - very restrained - but today I found the chickens eating an unidentified green which I tried (overrated, by the way, chickens are not to be relied on for gourmet appraisals); followed up with a little sorrel. Couldn't find any rocket though so I thought I'd try an early sowing of that as I have plenty of seed, and perhaps see if some peas will come up.

Miserable day today but thinking about seeds is very encouraging

I really MUST plant my fruit bushes tomorrow. I've decided that I'll plant the vine and gooseberries in the open, and put the blueberries in tubs (those builders ones with rope handles). Apart from that and my chillies I'm not planting much else at the moment.

A few weeks ago, I planted ten seeds I bought from the Chilliseeds firm. Of these, only two have risen to about two inches, so I may have to resow the other varieties. In the greenhouse, my onions are about an inch high, parsnips, no sign yet. The garlic under cloches is not showing yet. Spuds still chitting in the living room. The first fine day we have, I'm creating my monster veg patch!!
