Hi ALL, can I be one of the first to wish you ALL a VERY HAPPY CHRISTMAS and a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR 2013. Today is Wednesday the 12 -12 -2012 and I would like to share with you ALL some of my NEW ideas, to mainly help poor people to live a better life at a low cost, and to also help promote the reuse of what's already been made to serve another purpose. Whilst I already know if there's no money tobe made from a idea people are really not interested, but this is my way of saying thank you for ALL the FREE air we breath, the Rain that falls, and the SUN that shines, and the Moon that keeps us cool, it's only us who have put a price on everything else. My First idea is to ADD a small solar battery charging system to the top of a plastic bottle, whats already been proven to work very well as a light sauce, using ( A LITER OF LIGHT) to be fixed upon a corrugated roof right now. My second idea is to add to the way many people are trying to grow things now to help promote Hydroponics. The way I've done ALL of this you can see on my website www.recycling.moonfruit.com at the end of my menue, if you are really intereseted in the way I do things as a inventor & designer in my spare time. May you and yours and what you grow live long and happy. John JRP (recycling)

I'm not finding it very clear from your website what it is that you are doing... at least, not without trying.
You want to be grabbing people's attention from the off.

Also, sound quality on the video is very poor, and it seems very glitchy (though that might be my connection).
I would suggest you re-do it, and perhaps think about the script before you start.

Sorry to be negative. I found it quite inspiring, but only by watching through heavily tinted rose goggles.

If you can persuade a pretty girl to present it, then you're onto a definite winner.

15-9-2013. Can someone please tell me ( Why) people have not taken my ideas forward to help stop people dying from HUNGER, even though I'm offering my 3Rs Plastic Container Gardening ideas to the world for FREE, so that one day it might become part of Governments WORLD AID programme right now and in the future.
What is the PROBLEM with people using my ideas, is it because I've got a young black naked child on my website www.recycling.moonfruit.com intro page scraping the earth for something to eat, with the words, Making Globalisation Work for the POOR on it, or is it because I'm offering a different way to grow something to gardeners who already know how to grow their own food now, or is it just because it's a to much of a high price to help save lives, it being, even though it's for next to nothing, and because it's all made from waste. I know lives are being lost when they could have been saved, what more can one man do without help from like minded people, them being, people trying to help save millions of lives if we can done in our own ways.

Perhaps putting something for sale in this part of the forum is not the best way to get people interested. I know I just saw it as an advert, do haven't been to your web site, and probably won't.

Start a new thread, John.

We've got a bunch of new people from some other forum, and they may pass on this as an old, irrelevant thread.

Sadly, I wouldn't even start on a website that said it had 370 pages.

Hello John, been thinking. The latest UK phenomenon is "Food Banks". Keen gardeners/cooks know that a boring meal can be enlivened with a few tasty ingredients. The aim is to improve the quality of a food bank's clients with either additional food or by improving the food that they have been given.

Target audience: skint, unemployed, rented accommodation.

Objective: high value fruit, vegetables and herbs starting with nothing. (High value in terms of cost, nutritional value or flavour)

First stage: free containers,
Second stage: free compost,
Third stage: free or low cost plants and seeds.

I reckon that you could condense the information in your website (might need a bit of additional material) and print it onto two sides of A4 and offer it to your local food bank.

Don't forget - most food banks are run by Christian groups who will also have third world contacts. If it works in the rough end of an English town, it is likely to get tried out in other locations.

Just a thought,

Chris

Hi Pollyanna and Oldish Chris, thank you for your comments, maybe I should just take photos instead of trying to spread the word, seeing as there's over 3,600 of them on my website to prove my systems work.

Hi John
I hope you don't mind me saying but you come across as angry and frustrated which is a bit off putting if people want to discuss your ideas with you. I have had a look at your website and from the pictures the ideas look very interesting for people in the right circumstances. I personally don't feel the need to use it as space is not a problem of mine but in a city or slum it looks life saving assuming the plastic is freely available to the poor.

Have you tried writing a printable article and getting it into a suitable magazine? Permaculture magazine or Resurgence both spring to mind as they have an international audience.
I also found your website a bit awkward to look round (meant to be a helpful comment) and the mix of instructions and pictures don't flow. You really do need a step by step pic and instruction document on how to construct a system.
You really do need to get a charity involved who is working in a suitable country for a pilot project and who can record some statistics for you such as inputs and yield and time taken for a reasonable crop to be produced.
Your allotment with the systems working looks amazing
