Silas you obviously have very little background knowledge on this and yet you persist in going from one issue to another when you have exhausted all avenues on the current one.
As i have stated I would not shoot a mink with an Air rifle due to the chances of a clean kill being limited. but normal Air rifle hunting ranges would apply ie, 30-40 yards to guarantee a humane shot in ideal situations ie, the little git keeping his head still long enough to shoot it.

I'm sure that you have verifiable proof of your claim that Hooray Henrys as you call them release foxes into the wild for hunting purposes.

I repeat. I've seen it with my own eyes and there are a number of people ( not hunters) who have also seen vans full of foxes from away.
These stories are apocryphal. There is no and never has been any proof that this has happened.
One of our local MPs Michael Fabricant, made a complete tit of himself when he made similar allegations and was shot down in flames by both the police and the RSPCA who categorically stated that there has been no proof that this has ever happened and all enquiries had drawn complete blanks.

Are you sure it was a gin trap because any responsible person would have reported the incident !
Did the matter get taken to court ?
What about your claim ? Was that acro wotsit as well !

More than once, probably nearer thirty times and yes, I reported and took the damned things to our police station, but I have never heard anything more about it.

Not really, a spring mouse or rat trap works on a similar principle, but because they are 'vermin' it seems allowable. But they do not always kill cleanly, it is quite common for a rat or mouse to have a limb amputated by one of these things or be caught by the tip of its face, leaving it to die quite horribly.

Not a qualified pest controller no.
The ones that do the damage are the type that are often depicted in cartoons, with a lump of cheese as bait - you must know the ones surely? When the trap is sprung, a metal 'hoop' type affair flys over and is designed to break the animals back - in theory great, but they dont always work as planned. Sometimes if the animal is moving through the trap, the hoop will catch a leg or part of the animals face.

No not at all.
I have used them in the past, but finding a small mouse with its snout caught under the wire put me off them for life.
Talking about it to many people, it appears that this is not uncommon, and whilst it is perfectly true that most times they will work as they should, the plain fact is, sometimes they don't.
