here a funny little true anecdote on that subject. My grandmother was a district nurse/midwife in Pembrokeshire, and her duties took her to many a farmhouse with newlyweds. When she visited one young lady, the lady in question was preparing a rabbit for the pot, and remarked to my grandmother how hard it was to pluck it.

firstly even after the ban you can hunt rabbits with dogs, 2ndly Judy not all gun dogs can catch runners, and as most rabbit shooting is done at nught that makes it even harder for the dog
