Nettie, thanks for your interest.
The half that I have left is Zwartble. I don't eat meat, so cannot give you my comments, however Butcher said it was a large lamb & very lean, not much fat at all.
Two friends in the village who have had half each say it is beautiful and agree with butcher comments.

Unfortunately I have never shipped frozen meat, so will ask for any help there??

I do go down to London now & again to OH Mum. If you are not desperate for it I could keep till next trip?

To all of you I would say pimp yourself and your produce mercilessley on the Trading Post, that's what we put it there for.

And is also half the motivation for constructing the site, as if people recall at the other place smaller traders were not technically allowed to advertise.

Wombat - If I had known earlier you were going to have Lamb ready at that time I would have been interested as you are nearer to where I work and it would have been easier to do a pick up than from Rob - but I'd already booked my Lamb with him and as it turned out - thanks to NL I didn't have to drive over to Deepest Darkest Yorkshire to pick it up

I think the key thing is to make sure everyone knows well in advance when you are planning to have stuff available - that allows us all to work out whether its a viable proposition

At the moment I'm looking for someone who provides really good chicken for a bulk buy - within driving distance of Morecambe and Lancaster - I've got local producers I could use - but I'd much rather support a Downsizer member

it can work with meat ,yum ,we know who we are
a good way to trade all round ,and it also builds community links .
local is best but i'll stretch my definition of local for best
wish you well ,cut out profiteers ,and both producer and consumer win .
