It is recommended that you "stir" around it with your index finger once you've inserted it, in order to ensure that it is "sealed" properly. Since I figured that out, the only leaks I've had have been when it's too full.

They do need a bit of squidging into place. I find it happens quite naturally, though. I'm very pleased mine still fits, so I won't have to shell out for a new post-natal one.

Another advantage of mooncups is that you're allowed to keep them in whilst under a general anaesthetic.
