Have just set up a Swindon group.

I think it is worth others giving this a go.

There isn't one near me but I keep trying to join the Bristol one where my parents live as I am often there and I can't see one working up a valley in wales. Everyone is my valley is trying to out do each other on sellng unwanted stuff for ridiculously inflated prices. Anyway, to cut a long story short - have tried three times emailing the Bristol one to join and get no response. Any one from Bristol out there and a member?

I'm a member of the thriving Guildford group. It's fantastic, I got a free push-lawnmower yesterday. My allotment paths aren't going to know what hit them!!!

A couple have joined the Swindon one. I think it is worth doing alone, as people will join via their main web site.

I'm sure you're right, Jema, but how about a total techno-phobe like me doing it? I suspect that, even at a distance, I could cause the whole set up to collapse!

You might struggle Setting up a Yahoo group is a pain as the interface is totally cockeyed. You also have to answer 20 buerocratic questions from the organisers, which I must say really pissed me off

Just had a look and found one in the Cynon Valley! I'm moderately amazed really given this bit of Wales, but it has 27 members. Looks like its only been there a month or two so not much happening, but I will try to find something to give away and to introduce myself.
