Since my problems with hotmail a couple of weks ago, I no longer have the option of block sender, straight from the mailbox, as a tab near junk or delete.

Has anyone else found this or how can I get it back.

Don't use hotmail so I don't know. I assume you are talking about blocking spam senders?

I seemed to find they swtiched fake addresses so often that blocking was next to useless anyway

It looks like that must be an option they've taken off - it's not on mine either, I can see the spot where you mean, and I've not had any (noticed) problems with my account.

I do notice though, that if you select all the messages you don't like, and click "junk", you can select a box labelled "Do not display this confirmation again. Next time delete and report messages automatically". Presumably reporting mail as junkhas a similar effect as blocking the senders - at least it's fairly quick.

On the same page it has a note about blocking senders:

"To block messages from specific senders, click Options and then click Mail."

You then have to go to Junk Email Protection, and then Block Senders, then add addresses or domains to the list, which is a bit of a faff.

Does any of this help or am I just wittering?

Yes it does help, but it was a lot easier to highlight the offending e mails and just press block.

Progress eh?
