Jema
Did you see my reply about using grolsch-type bottles for wine?

a)they are strong and will withstand fermentation in the bottle
b)The china caps/rubber seals will self releive
c) you can get them up to 3 litres big around now
d)the beer is OK

I make nettle and burdock beer and elderflower champagne
some sparkling wines and some still wines
I keep them all in Grosch type (brown and green glass bottles)
as I do with my home made spirits

The rubber rings are easy to get and the bottles are easy to sterilise

Missed that one, I does sound like a good idea. Afterall 70cl wine bottles are too small anyway

The gift six packs of grolsch are about 70cl, but you can get all sizes.
They are expensive to buy (a pound each) from home brew shops, but I got all mine with beer in them from supermarkets when they were on offer
