Safeways box scheme was great for this, as you could scan the stuff as it went in to the box, and not have to re-pack. It did take longer to get round the store, but you didn't have to unload and reload twice. I don't know if morrisons will keep it, but Waitrose do it now with cotton bags. Plus the safeway box was the most usefull container ever.
I take things out of bags now, and leave them at the counter. I wouldn't mind if I was asked, but you get them whether you like it or not. I ran out of carrier bags when packing to go on holiday (boot bags and things) Typical! Also I plan to have a go at the body shop for not doing their cotton bags anymore, and at ocado for overpacking things.
