BB - We'd love a go at the Salami/Chorizo session - Don't think we'll need sausages as we are doing our own sausage-making sunday here in a couple of weeks but I'm very interested in Salami as our previous attempts didn't turn out so well

I will be interested in salamis etc, not the actual sausage making.

I can do a session teaching how to twist them though.

We'll also be bringing along a big barbie for people to grill their sausages on, if they should desire. We'll keep it apart from the other food out of deference to any Muslims or Jews there who don't want pork on the general griddles.

You could use the BBQ's in the camping field.

We shall do so. Thanks.

Seems more interest in the salami and chorizo than the sausages so far. Not a problem. We've had a bit of a rethink, and we can throw in the prepared flavourings as a lot of people will just be making a few pounds.

Speaking of said Jews/Muslims, could we be taught how to make beef or lamb sausages instead? I don't mind bringing in my own sausage machine. It's electric tho. I also have some halal casings stashed somewhere. I ask as every time I have tried to make sausages I have ended up with kebabs in skins instead. They were tasty but the texture was totally wrong. I have tons of home made breadcrumbs too so if I need some of those I can bring them in.

No worries. I'll provide sheep casings as well. Not halal or kosher, but not pork either. Hope that will do.

Unfortunately not for me as I only eat halal meat. I can bring my own casings though that's not a problem. We'll bring our sausage maker with us as it weighs very little. Do you think there'll be an electricity point nearby? We are so excited!

Ooh, great, could you put Paul and I down for chorizo/salami please?

And if there is any other interest in making black pudding, we would be interested in that too, but not to worry if it's only us

I'm sure there is elecricity in North Devon by now

If anyone else has the same sausage desires, would it be OK for them to share your set-up?

I would be interested in black pudding making ... or more accurately, getting Arvo to do it.

Can we put our names down for both sessions please? One for the sausage, one for the chorizo (we shall fight over who goes to which when we get there).
