A couple of weeks ago a juicer came up on our local Freecycle. I thought to myself hmmm... a good way of getting more vits. and mins. down me to help deal with this bl**dy blood pressure thing.

It's wonderful! I bunged a small pot of defrosted raspberries, a large apple, a kiwi fruit, a biggish pear and a medium orange in it. Almost a pint of really yummy juice! I'd get bored trying to eat that much fruit in a day and there are plenty of berries in the freezer...

i got a juicer once - but i didnt get on with it. it was messy, hard to clean, and i found i had to put in loads of fruit just to get a cupfull of juice - and then had a huge pile of waste pulp to throw away - such a waste of good fruit. i got rid of it and just use a liquidiser instead - far less waste and tastes just as good.

I get bored with it too. I've not got much of a sweet tooth I suppose.

I like my juicer too. And there's no fruit juice that can't be improved with a dash of gin.

I just use a jug blender. I chuck yoghurt and honey etc. in, too.

I just use a jug blender too... it does mean that you get all the seeds and skin (unless you peel first obviously).... so it's more of a lumpy than a smoothie.

I rely on my smoothie maker to make sure I eat enough fruit, and it's great!

i have to add more backup to the jug blender - i prefer them. maybe i was just unlucky enough to get a really crap juicer, it just seemed to consist of a rotary grater and an over complicated drainage system that didnt work. the jug blender is great for smoothies though.
