I've just turned some into mash for shepherds pie and was struck by the fact that these are the best keeping potatoes we've ever grown---they are just as good as when they were dug up in September.

No they were some I got from Tuckers---I usually buy from them as they have such a good range. p.s. The annoying thing is I didn't order them this year as I am experimenting over a couple of years to see what grows best here, and I didn't realise when I ordered in the autumn how well these would keep.

Not tried rooster but we've found Anya to be excellent keepers

I shall be growing Roosters this year in a large pot. It will be interesting to see how well they do. I've tried Roosters cooked all ways and they seem to be suitable for most methods of cooking. Paul

Agree---Anya are one of our regulars for keeping and taste.

i've planted about 80 rooster seed potatoes!!! i love them - so delighted to hear they are good keepers i had heard they had a high resistance to blight as well, so that's another wee bonus!! i'm just seeing the first tops breaking though the soil today, so will be keeping a watch on them as i'll need to start earthing them up
