circa 1804 1 bedroom mid-terraced ex-mineworkers cottage with long narrow back garden (12m x 75m). We have most of the garden in a maintainable state but still have big plans and, if properly organised, could be put to a lot of use. Awaiting the end of my current mortgage deal before clearing the remainder. No plans for sprogs so small cottage does us fine.

Would like more land though and outbuildings (one could never have enough outbuildings!) primarily so we could keep OH's horse at home and I could get a horse of my own.
Dream scenario would be farmhouse B&B and livery business with all sorts of sidelines such as pigs, eggs, veg, crafts and if outbuildings/land allows some holiday cottages but that all seems a million miles away just now.

(Soon to be 5 bed) detached stone and timber frame farmhouse. Grade II listed built circa 15thC. With listed stone and timber frame barn, loads of other stables, cow shed, barns etc with rick yard and plec and 2.5 acres of paddock and the rent free use of another 60 acres that backs onto our surrounding land. 6 miles from Birmingham City Centre and 5 mins from J2 M5 so we have the best of both worlds, land yet easy access to any where.

3 bed terraced house with a decent sized garden that is unfortunatly all coverd in brick pavers at the moment but with plans to open up 8 or 10 meter square raised beds when i have the time.

4 bed terrace, inner city, not much in the way of a garden 4x4m at most, allotment 20 mins walk away.

Hi Farmwoody we are in the Black Country - Rowley Regis. Moved here from down south. Was it your place that we saw on midlands today - regards seeing the pig from birth to plate? Sorry I am being nosey.

3 bedroom remote house with attached cottage in Rural France. (See signature link for pictures). About an acre of land which we use for growing veg and keeping a few animals. Workshop and outbuildings round the back. We were fortunate in that we managed to dispatch of the mortgage when we left the UK

2 bedroom semi-detached old farm workers cottage with 3 acres in a very rural hamlet in Hampshire. Got chickens, geese and Kune Kune pigs. No mortgage luckily!

Oops! Loads, actually, I love kids - I was planning to keep them in the house, and the alpacas, cow and calf, 6 sheep and 3 pigs on the land, but I've heard what kids are like!

Oh ! How about on the river severn between Kidderminster and Bridgenorth. 30-40 minutes drive from Brum, unless their's a traffic jam because of the safari park, then it can take forever.

Yep that was us on Midlands Today I know Bewdley and Arley very well (not very far from us). My sister in law and family live on the river (well right next to it!) at Arley Kings. Lovely place. Hi HWH, hows tricks?
