Great post Rach - sounds familiar - I must say things are a bit better here than when I was in the UK - streets are swept daily, littler is quickly removed and fly tipping is cleared if reported... however

I am also really irritated at the moment by fishermen who leave bait boxes, snack wrappings, used line and hooks just scattered on our local stunning cliff tops. We have regular patrols by government fishing wardens but their only concern is that fishermen have their 5ï¿½ licence on them......grrrr.

Wow, I just realised where you are!! I am 1/2 Spanish and my Family originate from Vigo in Pontevedra. Quite near anyhow! Rach

Our neighbours (holiday home) come from Vigo.....

We are just outside of Ribadesella - if you're ever passing.....
