Is it just me or has anyone else noticed the amazing display of stoned fruit blossom this year. When I was out at dusk yesterday evening the buckthorn/sloe blossom looked like snow on the bushes and I've never seen so much cherry blossom. Cherry plum and damson blossom is also putting on a spectacular displays. Looks like it could be a bumper year for these fruits.

My trees aren't even close to flowering yet here, but I really hope so. The cherries were just fabulous last year, and I would love a repeat performance.

I've a couple of early cherries in my garden and they're fantastic this year, dozens and dozens of bumble bees around them last night.

I counted 53 flowers on about 18" of an apricot branch t'other day. There'll be a lot of thinning to do

No, none of ours have a flower, although the buds are there.

Yeah our cherry plums are blooming right now, hotly pursued by the sloes which are imminent. So far so good!
