It arrived, all intact. Possibly the oddest parcel I've had so far (that's not a challenge by the way). Thank you. The card is great as well.

I've just walked in to work today to find my project manager has put one of these on my desk - I wondered if it was a sour dough starter (something I've been trying to get for ages - our attempt to make one has come up with something resembling blue cheese)

I assume therefore it's for cake only then and not bread!?

Jamanda, this is a sweet sourdough?

I think I will start a savoury sourdough as well.

I have a question for those of you that have had these before. Now I'm not fattening it up to divide it, do I need to feed it as often? If not how much and how often?
