I'm clearing an old pond that doesn't hold water and is overrun with nettles, bindweed and flag irises. Sadly we don't have the money to replace the lining so we're going to have a fairly large pond shaped hole with good nutrient rich soil. Any ideas on what to do to fill it? Ta, Komus

I'd fancy flowers but it's got to be veg. The soil is very rich but has obviously not held water for a while.
