I'd been at Morrisons for about 3 weeks, when the, then, personnel manager asked me if I'd be interested in doing a day's overtime each week working on the fish counter. I jumped at the chance and now I'm trying to make it a permanent switch. I want to be trained properly, to be a fishmonger, rather than someone who works on the fish counter, IYSWIM.
The ultimate would be a proper 3 year apprenticeship course, but, I suspect, I'm too old for that. |
