Found some yesterday I think are wood mushrooms, but not sure enough to try eating them.

I should have written boletes, not ceps. Think they are red cracking bolete. Have also found some small puffballs and one I think is 'uncommon but widespread'. Will get someone to look at it today and see if my ID is correct. We sometimes have unusual fungi in the wood.

Have had the one I thought was a spiny puffball confirmed. Now have another puzzle that I can't find. It looks like a spiny puffball to start with in both colour and shape, but the spines are less densely packed. It opens up to have a white stem and gills. No sign of veil and don't think there is a frill on the stem either. Any ideas? I might be able to post a picture later when one of our group sends it to me.
