i recon a barrel of peat might be a good home for the stuff.

tis sort of ok as a flavour in beer rather than using hops as well as an ace biter proof skin rub.

Bog myrtle sounds a good idea; problem is our soil is a bit alkaline and dry. As far as I know, the main threat from ticks here is Lyme disease.
