I've read many frightening things. Recently I was reading about how good game cover crops are for nature on a shoot by increasing the bio-diversity. It all seemed quite reasonable until they insist you first need to remove all weeds by several applications of weedkiller over a few months.

I tend to read the articles and pick out the relevant data and think how it will fit in with what I do.

the late great fred dibnah filmed his visit to a steam powered plant nursery .
that kit may be a bit big but someone cuold make a domestic triple engine ,generator and local heating plant .
maybe the traction engine people could help ?
maybe a fairground engine ?.
coppice ash sounds a good bet .
