Is / was someone writing an article on having an ethical christmas?? I am helping my brother with a school assembly he is having to put on nearer to christmas which will involve some pointers on being more ethical Just woindered if would be useful for me to put it inot an article for here - but do not want to tread on anyones shoes?

I think Otatop was doing one for her church newsletter but I can't remember if we persuaded her to let us use it too Don't forget to give them a link to Cab's article on an alternative to Christmas cards - I bet that would work really well for classrooms.

I knew I had read somewhere that someone was writing something. I have got to write the thing anyway so it is not a problem if it is used here or not.

Bernie, if you have the inclination, I would think we would equally make use of your version as Otatop's - in fact I think there might be a few more articles lined up re (the C word) subjects and we could do them over a while as a theme.

Incidentally if anyone is interested in this month's Country Smallholding Alan Beat does a "grow your own Christmas 2006" with suggested measurements for raising chickens and growing enough veg for a meal, plus recipes. It's a very good article.
