I collected two hives yesterday, not new ones they have been vacant for 12 years, nationals. i have been cleaning them this evening and tomorrow i'll be cuprinolling them
Also contact the council and have registered my interest for any swarms.. i explained i'm new to this and a nice officer offered a lot of help and advice... can't wait

Make sure your wood treatment is bee friendly & only do the outsides.
If they are made from red cedar they wont need any treatment.

Congrats! That all sounds very positive!
I am still waiting for my 2 hives... about a year after I ordered them... Mr B will have a big, long gray beard by the time they arrive. Or worse still - I will.
