I don't have a baby either but I do sometimes knit for them (I seem to be between victims at the moment though) - I think it looks great. A bit different to the usual and I like the story (and indeed the name itself) as well as the sizing instructions.
I got a bit lost in the instructions at this point:
"(k2tog, k7) repeat to end, purl row
repeat in pattern, until:
(k2tog) repeat to end, purl row."
But I assume it would be one of those things that would make sense once you got there, if you see what I mean?
If I find any rogue, cold babies among my acquaintance I'll probably give it a go and let you have some more helpful feedback then if that helps? Might be a while though.
Having thought about it again, I think I do get that bit after all - you keep decreasing the number of stitches between the k2tog 6,5,4,3,2,1 and then do a whole row of k2tog. I'm definitely still at early GCSE stage when it comes to the language of knitting
It's nice. Do you think a complete numpty could do it?
What's k2tog?
