I hope someone will be able to help me on this one.

I was removing some tiles and all the plaster came off with the bottom few tiles, to about halfway up the wall. I've boarded the wall and I've done a skim of one coat plaster but to bring it level with the plaster above the board, I'm going to have to do another coat. Now with it being new plaster, should I do a mix of PVA or should the new coat adhere to the new plaster ok?

Thanks in advance.

If you have already got some PVA Sgt, it won't do any harm to play safe & add some.

i always use a pump up spray with water or dilute pva to wet the wall pre spreading and with water once the plaster has set to pull a smooth surface

with multi finish pva is not usually needed on a second coat

Thanks guys.

Yes I have the PVA already. Bought it the other day. I was just wondering if it was needed because if not I'd have taken it back and saved some money.
