I was just doing a search about air freighted food (so I could try and avoid it) and hit this site about the climate change potential of different food choices

Linky https://coinet.org.uk/motivation/challenge/consumption.php

It's interesting; both a little depressing (I suspected that wet rice production was bad, but didn't think lamb was quite *that* bad) and heartening (chicken is okay) and it's encouraging of growing your own, not surprised about that but it's always nice to have an extra pat on the back A section on game and foraging would have been good to include though.

Anyone got any thoughts?

While what they're saying is broadly true I do think they're being a little disingenous by counting CO2 equivalent and then adding a estimated figure for how much livestock farts! It makes difficult to objectively judge from their data how much damage is really being done to the environment?

OTOH I have never understood why anyone buys frozen new zealand lamb when fresh local lamb is available on the butchers counter!
