Does anyone know what breed of sheep they had on "A Farmer's Life For Me"? They had lovely burnished beige heads and horns.

Thank you both. Having now used your info to search photos, I reckon they were Portlands as they all had horns and the Hill Radnors seem to only have horned (or is that 'horney' oo-er) rams. Now I just have to see if I can find any in France!

i seem to remember vss saying thier friend had some input into the sheep side of the programme maybe they would know ?.

Definately portlands. Bob has had them for years. Good little sheep that will lamb at any time of year. I rather like them.

My friend has 4 girls, a ram and a wether, nice sheep, the girls have each had 1 lamb this year. The boys are off to the butcher and she will be looking for a new ram in the autumn - she is in Dorset
