My neighbour has a large fig tree and I also have one that's a bit smaller.
The next door lot hate figs so I have 100's.

What can I do with them?

Split and grilled with a wedge of blue cheese and a final drizzle of balsamic vinegar - delicious.

Dry them. I adore dried figs. Dust then in flour to stop them all sticking together in storage.

I shoogle it over the figs through a sieve then give them a good shake about once they're in their container to spread it about. You only need a very small amount. I imagine any fine flour would do.

Do you air dry, bake in a low oven or put them in an airing cupboard?

Send figs to meeeeeee..... they were 2 for four of the smallest figs you've ever seen in Tesco's today, and they weren't even very nice. (I really fancied a couple to go with my goats cheese log)

I air dry, but I do have a sun advantage here. I lay them on trays, or just on tiles, whole. They take quite a while, and unlike most fruits I don't bother bringing them in at night unless it's obviously going to rain. They should be leathery on the outside but still a little squishy inside.
