Free to collect... Approximately 8 Top Bar Beehives offered. 3 used, 5 new and unused. Made out of marine ply.

Hives are 4foot long.

This was a large craft project so some hive periphery parts are 'work in progress', eg. missing some top bars, or roof/felting.

Based on Phil Chandler's design www.biobees.com. These type of hives were featured in Life in a Cottage Garden (BBC2) with Carol Klein earlier in the year.

Will obviously split!

Pls PM if interested.

Based in Pentre, Rhondda, 20 miles north of Cardiff.

Is there any chance of a downsizer courier collecting one for me (if rhyddid wouldn't mind)?

Well I wouldn't need one until next year I suppose.

I think I'm getting ahead of myself though. I don't have bees yet but I have a hunch that one hive tends not to be enough.

I will dither some and pm you both.

Nope
What's that they say about the internet:" If something seems too good to be true then it probably is!"

Rhyddid visits from time to time. I'm sure you'll get replies to your PMs. Remember that giving stuff away can seem less urgent than acquiring stuff.

Go onto the Biobees website and download the free plans for a top bar hive. They look really easy to make!
