Hi all,

I don't suppose anybody has any baby aloe vera plants they're selling at all?
I have never had one, but I would love one.
If nobody has any, are they easy to grow from seed?
I imagine them to be like Bonsai trees, but I may be way off the mark!

Thanks

I believe I have something similar... but not here.
And if anyone has hints on how to get them to bud off a babby, then I'll try it on the big vera.

They normally do that naturally when they are ready and big enough for it. I find that after period of neglect.. ..they start thinking of producing 'babies' for survival of the species.
So bit of baking sun...long 'drought' and then bit of water every now and then.
At the moment I don't have any babies at all... I separated the 'mum' from 'babies' last year.

Hmm...nope...more like the green top on pineapple...just bit more 'fleshier'.

I reckon mine is too big... not watering it might help slow it down as well.

Sorry you are not closer! I have just inherited a very large plant, one that fits a round laundry basket, and it has many babies.

Isn't it advised against sending plants internationally? The 'want' of an AV plant actually comes from a friend in Florida who is selling her baby AV plants for charity, and I asked if they could be posted, but she was unsure.
