Cut into small pieces, steamed or gently boiled then tossed in lots of butter and chopped parsley.

They stir-fry well according to my turnip supplier (finely sliced I assume rather than whole). You can use the leaves in things like saag.

Feed them to your sheep. *shudder*

(I use them in mash, if I absolutely have to, half and half with potato and then browned on top under the grill).

Well my indian girls at work say they make a great curry and as has been mentioned you can throw, the shredded leaf in for The last 5 mins to make it a saag curry.

Baby turnips definitely make a nice, if a bit unusual curry.
I'll see if I can find the recipe I use.

I loooooove turnips when they are baked inside a bread.
Nice rye sourdough crust..about inch thick and inside layers of turnip cubes, salt and butter and some optional smokey bacon pieces..
All cooked inside the rye 'crust' once cooked and cooled you just cut out huge slices and EAT it all...MMMM
