We came home from the allotment yesterday with some very nasty looking blisters.
They don't feel great either, but not as bad as they look.

The guess is that there is some plant down there that we have encountered, so I'd like to discover what it is and eradicate it.
Or possibly an insect, but a plant seems more likely.

Any guesses?
I can try to post a picture later if it helps...

I react to tomatoes.

Recently I have been bitten by some sort of insect (I don't know what it was) but it raised these massive welts on my leg.

We pulled all those up a day or few before... so that's a definite possibility.

I have some nastiness on my ankle area from either horseflies or hogweed stuff. Blistered, sore and take about a week to fix themselves...

Is it just you who has them?
the trouble with blisters is they are often a reaction which is individual to the sufferer.
could it be chemical? heat rash reaction? sunburn?
are they itchy? weeping? how big are they?
have you had a look on Dr Google? the images section is really good for identifying rashes. My GP loves using it to show the Kids grim stuff!
other things to consider when working the soil is varients of impetigo. Bullous impetigo is often mistaken for burns as it blisters up.
hope it feels better soon. calamine ointment works well to sooth the itch. the cream is much nicer than the lotion as it doesnt dry on the skin. anti hystamines if nesescary or some anti inflamatories like brufen IF you are ok with NSAIDS?

Which would explain why we were advised not to feed parsnip tops to the pigs.

A reaction to strawberries is quite common. Ragwort's another possible.
Frankly, looking at the list that's building up here it's a miracle that anyone makes it back from the allotment alive.

I get a strange rash which I get sometimes if I walk on grass - a blotchy ring of broken veins just above my ankles. Got a bad case this weekend after Hampton Court, but no reaction after Ardingly the previous week.

I don't know if it is plant, insect or chemical triggered, but I'm suspecting the last option.

I harvested a load of comfrey with bare sweaty arms once & that caused a lot of soreness. Can't remember if it blistered though.

Strimming in this weather is positively dangerous. I hope that's not what you've been doing!

Which reminds me I need to find some light trousers, and socks and long sleeves. (For safer strimming.) I have been putting off clearing stuff for too long.

A couple of years ago I was terribly burned/blistered by rue - which was quite a shock as I'd had it in the garden for years. It was a hot day, and I'd only brushed past it.
