you can catch mackeral with bare hooks at the moment.

my fave way with super fresh is sashami fillet .followed by bbq before they go stiff,and then split ,rolled in oats and fried in butter for breakfast

if smoking get em salted pre stiff and smoke once relaxed

if freezing pre stiff is best
