Looks like a Buff Sussex or half Buff Sussex to me. (We've got a half one that looks a lot like that). I notice the chicks are a mixture of stripe down the back and not. Suggests mixed ancestry. What is the cockerel like?

There are several cockerels, but one was taking a particular interest yesterday. I will try to get a photo later
