If you open freeze them on trays and bag later, you can use as many or few as you wish. I think they'll go mushy though, like strawberries. Bottled cherries are yummy and I believe you can make cherry pickle

I boiled them in sugar one year and bottled them. And then made Black Forest gateaux far too often ( I think they were morello, though. I don't see why you couldn't in any case, mind)

Freeze and add to a batch of cider?

if you make wine remove the stones is the first job unless you like wine that tastes of cyanide.it isnt enough to be very toxic but it ruins the flavor.

Actually, cherry brownies are yummy too.

What about drying some? I dried tomatoes in the oven once.

I got English cherries last week. Must try to get to the farmers market soon, as they have cherries, and hopefully apricots too.

We've just gone through the last of our dried cherries from last great, great in cherry and almond muffins

I make cherry brandy. Last years, made with cultivated, rather than wild cherries, as I have lost access to them, was quite to my taste.

Ooh, could you make cherry syrup and have cherryade!

Inhabe just tried to strim a path to my cherries, but the strimmer has defeated me. I must be doing something wrong.
