Hi All,

Does anyone know of anywhere that I can source the above birds from? I'm only looking for quantities around 20 birds.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Many Thanks
Gunny

You haven't said in which area you're living. There are plenty about but they but travelling long distances would make them expensive in time and money.

Going through some of my records, I bought the Hubbards from Simon Skinner of Poulet Anglais. I'm not sure if these contact details are up to date but they were all I could find via google:

Poulet Anglais on 01790 763066 / 07787 533325

There was a place near Bristol that supplied Sasso chicks. A quick google should find them.

Thanks all for your advice... I'm guessing that no one is cheaper than Poulet Anglais as the people I've contacted are charging nearly twice/three times as much. I also spoke to Madgetts Poultry who weren't as informative as apparently they no longer purchase from Simon Skinner due to having a new local supplier but didn't want to pass on the details of their new supplier.

Any further advice would be much appreciated.

Many Thanks
Gunny

Have you thought about hatching your own?

Getting hold of the 'proper' eggs is probably even trickier.

I haven't really explored the idea of hatching eggs however I haven't even reared chicks before either, I'm only entertaining this option as I couldn't find a sustainable option that would be able to supply me with grown birds on a frequent basis.

Just a thought but there is a chap selling free range chickens (or at least there used to be) at the Usk Farmer's market. I know he uses Hubbards.

Thanks Shan, I don't suppose you have a contact number for him? The contact details on that site are for the market only who aren't willing to pass on his number.

Thanks for your assistance.
