Just finished trimming back and shredding the cuttings from 1 of the many rose bushes. Let's just say, it fought back!

I don't know if anyone else does it but I find, I end up having a second flush of roses. Dead heading alone doesn't help because the bush is so enormous that the branches get too long and break.

a savaging now and again does seem to make em grow new stems and flower more. a technically correct savaging can make em do wonderful things

I must be doing something right because the damn thing doubles in size every year. Reminds me of 'Little House of Horrors'.

i got one designated vigorous , even with amateur pruning and some decent feeding the thing was a proper triffid. 10m from base to tips in a few years .
