Well at least the people running the wind farms were happy. Good thing we are producing more electricity by renewable resource, but still a long way to go.

I don't think that more wind is the right answer to that one though.

While we're on the subject though, did anyone else see that turbine on Tomorrow's World last week?
Supposedly works whichever way the wind hits it, so still works in turbulence.

Is Tomorrows World still on? I thought it died in the 1970s.

Was still going in the 80s when I was a kid (unless they were repeats, although that seems a bit unsuitable!) don’t know about recently, as we don’t have proper telly anymore.

I read on the web that they were bringing it back - I thought for just one episode, but didn't pay much attention so might be wrong on that!

I think there was one on a couple of weeks ago on BBC4. I didn't watch it though.

Well, I think HL comes from Yorkshire, and there are rude people who say it still is the 1970s there

I have never been to Yorkshire, so I wouldn't know. Hope to go to York some time this year or next though, if we get the time.

My dad was a Yorkshire man and the relatives were ok even with a midlander like me. York is well worth a trip, MR., especially as I am into trains-they have a fantastic railway museum there.

I want to see the Yorvic thing, probably the train museum, and may manage to look at a few interesting orchards in the area. If we go up it will be husband, me, son and DIL. DIL is in a wheelchair, so wherever we go will have to be accessible to her. Will see what we can do this year.
