nice hillside

decades ago i did not know it was temperate rain forest, i got eaten by midges by the stream so went up the slope for the next few days

i had sort of hoped nobody would have noticed it, to leave it as it has been for ages protection etc might be ok

tis a bit steep and when i went up through it was rainforest challenging

a few viewing paths etc are unlikely to alter it much

ps , it was on top of there that a couple of buzzards got vulture ambitions while i snoozed in the dawn sun

Nice, we need to ensure enforcement too.

it is more special than i knew at the time, i had a few days in it and thought it nice and probably safe from humans, see slope etc, it is steep

if areas are to get protection, that one is a good choice

The report may be right for that place but otherwise is very jumbled. The only rainforest I know is Wistmans Wood on Dartmoor. That is a very special place too. I can understand why you liked it so much Dpack. Done properly, this could be a really good move, but done badly and it could muck things up. Need to keep people from trampling the wood while ensuring they enjoy the beauty of it, and also understanding it as a complete system and not trying to preserve just one aspect of it like a rare snail.
